Job Description:
We are seeking dynamic and results-driven Customer Service Engineers to spearhead our trade marketing and customer engagement initiatives. This role is designed for Civil Engineers who can blend technical expertise with a strategic marketing mindset to drive market penetration and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
As a Customer Service Engineer, you will be the face of the brand within the construction sector, working directly with the professionals who shape the industry from architects and structural engineers to large-scale contractors. Your goal is to generate high-quality leads, build a robust industry database, and ensure our brand is the first choice for major construction projects.
Requirements:
Market Penetration & Lead Generation
Site Engagement: Conduct regular visits to active construction sites to identify and build relationships with contractors, civil engineers, and architects.
Database Management: Maintain an active and accurate database of site visits, stakeholders, and project timelines to fuel the sales pipeline.
Distribution Support: Visit distributors and dealers to support lead generation and ensure product availability at the retail level.
Trade Marketing & Influence
Strategic Execution: Develop and implement trade marketing strategies that align with broader business objectives and market penetration goals.
Influencer Programs: Design and execute engagement programs tailored specifically for key industry influencers, such as structural engineers and site managers.
Brand Consistency: Ensure that brand messaging remains consistent and impactful across all trade channels and marketing touchpoints.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Trend Monitoring: Keep a close watch on competitor activities, market shifts, and customer behavior to identify new growth opportunities.
Research & Insight: Conduct structured market research to generate actionable insights that inform product positioning and sales tactics.
Reporting: Prepare comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports to track the performance of trade initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) with a background in Civil Engineering.
Experience: Prior experience or a deep understanding of the Nigerian construction industry is highly preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Ability to interpret technical project requirements and offer relevant product solutions.
Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
