Job Description:
We are seeking a vibrant, trustworthy, and efficient Cashier to join our team in Lekki, Lagos. As the face of our establishment, you are the final and most important touchpoint in our customer’s journey. Your mission is to combine technical accuracy in payment processing with a warm, professional "Lekki-standard" hospitality.
You will be responsible for managing high-volume transactions—both in-person and via drive-thru—while acting as a brand ambassador who drives sales through strategic upselling. If you are a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in a pristine workspace, we want you on our front line.
Requirements:
1. Transactional Integrity & POS Management
Financial Accuracy: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with precision, processing cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments without discrepancies.
Order Orchestration: Accurately capture guest orders, ensuring that special requests are communicated clearly to the service team to prevent waste or errors.
Receipt Governance: Issue official receipts for every transaction, ensuring compliance with internal financial tracking and tax requirements.
2. Guest Engagement & Sales Growth
Brand Ambassadorship: Greet every guest with a professional and friendly disposition, serving as an expert on menu items, active promotions, and daily specials.
Strategic Upselling: Identify opportunities to enhance the guest's experience (and the business’s revenue) by suggesting additional items, sides, or upgrades.
Service Recovery: Resolve guest concerns or payment issues calmly and professionally, ensuring every customer leaves with a positive impression.
3. Operational Hygiene & Station Upkeep
Sanitation Standards: Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized cashier station and front counter.
Supply Readiness: Monitor and restock essential supplies such as napkins, condiments, and cups to ensure zero service interruptions during peak hours.
Shift Discipline: Maintain an orderly and secure cash drawer, participating in "end-of-shift" reconciliations to ensure 100% financial accountability.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Previous experience as a Cashier or in a Customer Service role (especially in QSR, Retail, or Hospitality) is highly preferred.
Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
Math Literacy: Strong basic arithmetic skills for quick and accurate manual change calculations if necessary.
Location: Proximity to Lekki is a major advantage for punctuality and shift flexibility.
Core Competencies
Trustworthiness: A high degree of integrity when handling large volumes of cash and digital data.
Stamina: Ability to remain energetic and professional while standing for extended periods during high-traffic shifts.
