Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber and commercially aggressive Business Manager to anchor our market expansion. In the specialized fields of electrical, mechanical, and maintenance services, success is defined by "Technical Commercialization", the ability to translate complex engineering capabilities into high-value contracts and long-term partnerships. This role is designed for a "Revenue Architect" with 5+ years of experience who can blend "Tendering Mastery" with the "Strategic Diplomacy" required to influence developers, architects, and consultants.
Your mission is to ensure "Market Dominance and Scalable Revenue Growth." You will be the primary engine of our business evolution: responsible for lead generation, brand positioning, and the end-to-end orchestration of the bidding and tendering lifecycle. If you possess "Exceptional Negotiation Prowess," a background in Construction Business Development, and a data-driven approach to market diversification, we want you to drive our operational excellence.
Requirements:
1. Revenue Engineering & Tender Governance
Technical Bid Management: Lead the development of high-fidelity proposals, bids, and tender documents, ensuring technical accuracy and competitive pricing strategies.
Pipeline Acceleration: Identify and qualify high-potential opportunities within the electrical and mechanical sectors, converting market curiosity into revenue-generating contracts.
Growth Innovation: Generate and execute industry-relevant ideas that move the company beyond traditional service boundaries and into emerging market segments.
2. Stakeholder Ecosystem & Relationship Stewardship
Consultant Diplomacy: Build and maintain high-trust relationships with developers, property owners, architects, and engineering consultants to ensure the company is "first-in-line" for prime projects.
Client Acquisition Leadership: Lead high-stakes client meetings and negotiations, utilizing technical expertise and commercial intuition to close complex deals.
Long-term Retention: Develop and implement engagement strategies that transform one-off contracts into multi-year strategic partnerships.
3. Brand Sovereignty & Team Leadership
Team Architecture: Recruit, train, and lead high-performing marketing and brand positioning teams to increase the company's "Share of Mind" in the industry.
Market Diversification: Conduct analytical assessments to identify and exploit diversification opportunities that hedge against industry volatility.
People Management: Oversee the day-to-day business operations, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and revenue-focus across all departments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. (An MSc is an added advantage).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development specifically within the construction or MEP sectors.
Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of the bidding and tendering lifecycle within the Nigerian construction landscape.
