Job Description:

  • We are looking to engage a competent and experienced Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth as well as being able to collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing new business development opportunities, conducting thorough market research to identify potential clients, industries and partnership that aligns with the Company’s goals
  • Managing, growing, and diversifying sales pipeline to meet set targets.
  • Monitoring and updating management with respect to technological trends in the local and global energy sector to ensure the company remains competitive in the industry.
  • Evaluating potential leads and tenders for the company to participate in.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all clients, partners, and all stakeholders to ensure long term business success
  • Representing the company at exhibitions, conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Analysing opportunities for growth in market segments to drive profitability.
  •  Working closely with Sales engineering, Finance and Legal teams to ensure that all efforts are aligned with the Company’s strategic goals
  •  Evaluating new and diverse renewable energy sources to incorporate/replace with existing system designs.
  •  Coordinating and preparing reports/presentations as requested by the Company’s management.
  •  Forming strategic partnerships with other companies to leverage their existing networks.
  •  Developing strategies to meet business development targets as communicated by Head of business development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related course.
  • Five (5) years Sales/Business development or commercial experience within the renewable energy industry in Nigeria.
  • Proven track record of closing large, complex B2B deals.
  • Experience in renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or industrial sectors strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen (ability to understand project finance and P&L impact)
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in particular).
