Job Description:
Medcourt Support Services is seeking a technically sound and proactive Biomedical Engineering Graduate Trainee to anchor our technical operations in Ikeja, Lagos. In the healthcare sector, the reliability of medical equipment is directly linked to patient outcomes. This role is designed for a "Clinical Solutions Engineer", a professional with 1–2 years of experience who can blend mechanical precision with the sophisticated diagnostics required to maintain high-end biomedical devices.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Failure Medical Infrastructure." You will be responsible for the entire equipment lifecycle: from precision installation and preventive maintenance to rapid-response corrective repairs. If you possess "Technical Grit" and the analytical ability to troubleshoot complex healthcare technologies, we want you to join our specialized service team.
Requirements:
1. Equipment Lifecycle & Preventive Maintenance
Strategic Installation: Assist in the professional setup and calibration of new medical equipment, ensuring all devices are configured to manufacturer specifications.
Preventive Governance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) protocols to identify potential failures before they disrupt clinical operations.
Performance Validation: Conduct routine inspections and performance checks to ensure all biomedical assets meet international safety and quality standards.
2. Diagnostics & Service Recovery
Root Cause Diagnostics: Support the troubleshooting of complex biomedical devices, utilizing specialized testing tools to isolate hardware and software failures.
Corrective Repair: Assist in performing rapid corrective repairs on malfunctioning equipment to minimize clinical downtime.
Documentation Integrity: Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate technical documentation for every interaction, ensuring a transparent service history.
3. Logistics & Technical Support
Inventory Stewardship: Assist in the management of spare parts inventory, ensuring that critical components are available for rapid repairs.
End-User Empowerment: Provide basic technical training and support to healthcare professionals, ensuring they operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to electrical safety and biohazardous waste protocols while working within healthcare environments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng / B.Tech) in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience: 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience in biomedical equipment support, maintenance, or clinical engineering.
