Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Laravel and international payment infrastructure to join our cross-border FinTech team. You will be at the heart of our mission to facilitate global money movement, designing and maintaining the secure, high-performance systems that power our digital wallets, remittance services, and foreign exchange platforms. This is a mission-critical role for an engineer who thrives on complex problem-solving, understands the nuances of global payment rails (SWIFT, SEPA, etc.), and is passionate about building scalable financial technology that promotes global financial inclusion.

Requirements:

• Payment Infrastructure Engineering: Architect and maintain secure backend applications using Laravel (PHP) to process high-volume, real-time cross-border transactions.

• Global Payment Integration: Build and manage integrations with international payment rails, including SWIFT, SEPA, Fedwire, TARGET2, FPS, ACH, and Open Banking APIs.

• System Architecture & Orchestration: Design robust payment orchestration engines, transaction authorization systems, and double-entry ledger systems to ensure 100% financial data integrity.

• Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, encryption) and support automated AML, KYC, and fraud-monitoring workflows.

• Financial Integrity: Develop automated reconciliation solutions and settlement reporting services to support Finance and Treasury operations.

• Innovation & Intelligence: Implement AI-assisted transaction monitoring and anomaly detection to proactively manage risk and enhance system intelligence.

• Operational Reliability: Optimize database performance (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redis) and utilize event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ) to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience:

  • 3–7 years of total backend development experience.

  • 2–5 years specifically within FinTech, Banking, Remittance, or Foreign Exchange.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (Master's is an advantage).
