Job Description:
- The Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer specializing in Bank Reconciliation.
- In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate reconciliation of the company’s bank accounts by reviewing financial transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with different departments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of bank statements.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and the company’s accounting records.
- Maintain meticulous records of all reconciliation activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation reports for management review.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to resolve any outstanding transactions.
- Ensure that all reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and documentation required for audits.
- Provide support in evaluating financial activities and advising on necessary actions.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or HND in Finance/Accounting or related field.
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) is a plus.
- 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in bank reconciliation or accounting roles.
