Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and analytical Accountant to manage the financial health and operational cost-tracking of our Awoyaya-based business. In this role, you will be the guardian of our financial records, ensuring that every transaction from raw material procurement to daily sales is accurately documented, reconciled, and reported. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a production or operational environment and can turn financial data into clear, actionable insights for management.

Requirements:

• Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous financial ledgers, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and audit-ready.

• Operational Cost Tracking: Monitor and analyze production costs, including raw materials, fuel, labor, and overheads to ensure operational efficiency.

• Inventory & Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation of raw materials and finished goods stock against financial records to ensure zero discrepancies.

• Cash & Bank Management: Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts, cash transactions, and company ledgers.

• Receivables & Payables: Manage the end-to-end process of tracking customer payments and ensuring timely settlement of supplier invoices.

• Payroll & Statutory Compliance: Prepare payroll, calculate statutory deductions, and ensure the timely remittance of taxes and pensions.

• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports, providing financial insights that support cost-reduction and profitability goals.

• Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience: 1–2 years of accounting experience.

  • Industry Advantage: Experience in manufacturing, construction, or block production environments is highly preferred.
