Job Description:

We are seeking a disciplined and analytical Accountant to serve as the financial anchor of our organization. Based in the Ajah / Ogombo axis, this role is designed for a professional who takes pride in the integrity of every entry and the accuracy of every report.

As our Accountant, you will manage the full accounting cycle—from daily transaction recording and payroll management to bank reconciliations and tax compliance. You will be responsible for transforming raw financial data into clear, actionable reports that guide executive decision-making. Requirements:

1. Transactional Integrity & Cash Management

• General Ledger Governance: Record daily financial transactions with precision, ensuring all account records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Cash Flow Stewardship: Monitor daily expenses, handle invoicing, and process payments while keeping a close watch on company budgets and liquidity.

• Reconciliation Mastery: Conduct regular bank statement reconciliations to identify and resolve financial discrepancies immediately.

2. Reporting & Financial Intelligence

• Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive income statements, expense reports, and monthly financial summaries for management review.

• Payroll Administration: Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring staff salaries and statutory deductions are processed accurately and on schedule.

• Document Control: Maintain an impeccable filing system for all financial records, ensuring audit-readiness at all times.

3. Compliance & Policy Enforcement

• Tax & Statutory Governance: Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure full compliance with local statutory requirements (e.g., LIRS, FIRS, Pension).

• Policy Stewardship: Ensure all financial activities adhere strictly to internal policies, procedures, and standard accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).

• Audit Support: Provide the necessary documentation and insights during internal or external financial reviews.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: HND or BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.

• Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions) and at least one major Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books).

• Location: Must reside around Ajah, Ogombo Road, or immediate environs.
