Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Account Officer to anchor the financial engine of our operations in Onitsha. In the high-volume commercial ecosystem of Fegge and Odoakpu, success is defined by "Fiscal Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize rapid transaction flows with the clinical precision required for Ledger Reconciliation, Asset Management, and Statutory Compliance. This role is designed for a "Ledger Architect" with a B.Sc./HND in Accounting or Finance and 2 years of post-NYSC experience who can blend "Numerical Grit" (auditing daily books) with the "Operational Agility" required to manage local financial logistics.
Requirements:
1. Transaction Orchestration & Ledger Governance
Posting Sovereignty: Ensure all financial inflows and outflows are captured with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Entry Integrity."
Classification Architecture: Categorize expenses and revenues according to strict accounting standards, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for profitability assessments.
Reconciliation Stewardship: Perform daily and weekly bank and cash reconciliations, ensuring the "Source of Liquidity Accuracy."
2. Compliance Resilience & Internal Control Logic
Audit Sovereignty: Maintain "Audit-Ready" financial records at all times, acting as the primary "Source of Regulatory Preparedness."
Control Architecture: Implement and monitor internal financial controls to prevent leakages, providing the "Operational Foundation" for asset security.
Remittance Stewardship: Oversee the timely processing of local taxes and levies, maintaining the "Source of Institutional Standing" within Onitsha’s regulatory framework.
3. Reporting Integrity & Analytical Power
Financial Sovereignty: Prepare high-fidelity weekly and monthly financial summaries, including Profit & Loss statements and Cash Flow reports.
Variance Architecture: Identify and investigate discrepancies between actual spend and budgets, acting as the primary "Source of Cost Optimization."
Decision Logic: Provide data-led insights to management to support commercial scaling, utilizing 2+ years of accounting expertise to maximize the "Source of Strategic Growth."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. Degree / HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC experience specifically in an accounting or finance role.
Age: Must not be more than 35 years of age.
Geographic & Technical Competencies
Residency: Must reside within Fegge, Odoakpu, Woliwo, or Awka Road (Onitsha).
Technical Sovereignty: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally).
Analytical Grit: Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
