Job Description:

We are seeking a disciplined and efficient Warehouse Associate to manage the critical transition of goods from international transit to our local branch network. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving overseas purchase orders via air and sea, ensuring their integrity, and managing the rapid dispatch of stock to various branches.

Requirements:

Receiving & Quality Control

• Intake Management: Execute efficient receipting actions for all cases delivered from sea/airports by clearing agents, courier suppliers, and contractors.

• Inspection: Provide prompt and conclusive attention to overseas cases received open or with mixed items, ensuring discrepancies are resolved immediately.

• Documentation: Ensure proper recording, distribution, and filing of all documents throughout the various processing stages.

Dispatch & Logistics

• Urgent Distribution: Guarantee that all overseas orders destined for branches are dispatched with full documentation within 24 hours of receipt.

• Load Custody: Tally all packages for loading and ensure they are appropriately protected to prevent damage during transit to consigned branches.

• Reporting: Prepare and update reports regarding short-deliveries from clearing agents and items dispatched through courier partners (e.g., UPS).

Inventory Management

• Stock Oversight: Manage the total inventory within the warehouse, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and well-organized.

• Safety & Equipment: Maintain a clean and safe workspace. The ability to operate a lift truck is a significant advantage.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: B.Sc. or HND in any discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations or a similar field.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in computer applications for inventory tracking and reporting.

  • Familiarity with clearing and forwarding documentation is preferred.

• Core Competencies:

  • Integrity: Must demonstrate a high level of transparency and ethical conduct.

  • Urgency: Ability to meet strict 24-hour dispatch deadlines.

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in tallying packages and identifying shipment errors.

  • Organization: Excellent record-keeping and filing skills.
