Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Team Lead for our Microfinance Business segment. This hybrid role focuses on overseeing the complete value chain for Microfinance Banks (MFBs) and Institutions. You will be responsible for building high-value partnerships, delivering tailored commercial banking solutions including credit, treasury, and digital products and acting as a key advisor to ensure the stability and growth of the microfinance ecosystem.
Requirements:
Business Development: Identify, onboard, and grow relationships with new and existing Microfinance Institutions and Banks.
Digital Integration: Champion the adoption of banking APIs, core applications, and advanced fintech solutions among partners.
Product Structuring: Create and sell wholesale credit, liability products, and treasury services specifically designed for MFB cash-flow cycles.
Portfolio Management: Conduct deep-dive due diligence on partner financial health, credit methodology, and risk levels.
Strategic Growth: Lead go-to-market strategies, execute cross-selling opportunities in digital payments, and track overall sector revenue.
Risk & Compliance: Monitor asset quality and ensure all partners adhere to KYC, AML, and regulatory consumer protection standards.
Advisory & Innovation: Provide expert guidance on product pricing and risk management while staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline (MBA or Master’s degree is highly preferred).
Experience: 8–12 years of proven experience in Commercial Banking, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), or the Microfinance sector.
Grade Level: Candidates should be within the BO - AM grade range.
Skills: Strong understanding of credit lines, treasury products, and digital banking technology.
