Job Description:

  • The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the restaurant’s inventory by ensuring proper receipt, storage, and issuance of all stock items. The role ensures accurate record-keeping, minimizes wastage, and supports efficient kitchen and service operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Ensure proper storage of food items, beverages, and supplies in line with safety and hygiene standards
  • Maintain organized and well-labeled storage areas
  • Issue stock to kitchen and service teams based on approved requisitions
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management of shortages or reorder needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
  • Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Ensure strict adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) for perishable goods
  • Track expiry dates and prevent usage of expired items
  • Minimize wastage, damage, and theft of stock
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the store area
  • Prepare inventory reports (daily, weekly, monthly)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of SSCE ; additional certification in inventory or supply chain is an advantage
  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or retail environment
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control and stock management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Basic computer skills (Excel or inventory systems)

Salary

N100,000 monthly.
