Job Description:

We are seeking a highly disciplined Stock Controller to take full ownership of the inventory lifecycle at our Victoria Island facility. In this role, you are the gatekeeper of our physical assets, responsible for ensuring that what exists on our shelves perfectly matches our digital records in Odoo.

Your mission is to balance the technical precision of accounting with the operational rigor of warehouse management. You will manage the entire flow—from preparing purchase orders and inspecting supplier deliveries to daily physical counts and resolving audit discrepancies. Requirements:

1. Inventory Governance & System Integrity

  • Odoo Management: Promptly update all stock activities (receipts, returns, and issues) on the Odoo ERP system to ensure real-time data accuracy.

  • Audit & Forensic Review: Conduct daily reviews of "Audit by User" reports to monitor transaction deletions and investigate suspicious user activities.

  • Documentation Control: Maintain a rigorous document management system, ensuring all stock records are uploaded and synchronized with the Support Office via OneDrive.

2. Operational Excellence & Warehouse Security

  • Orderly Storage: Oversee the logical arrangement of goods within the stock location system to optimize retrieval speed and ensure physical protection.

  • Supplier Quality Assurance: Verify that all incoming items match Local Purchase Orders (LPO) in quantity and condition before formal acceptance.

  • Local Sourcing: Act as a strategic backup by sourcing essential third-party alternatives (e.g., bread buns, beverages) in the event of primary supply failures to prevent stock-outs.

3. Performance Reporting & Cost Control

  • Stock Taking: Coordinate periodic full-scale stock takes and perform daily physical counts to reconcile system balances.

  • Waste Management: Prepare detailed adjustment reports for damaged or expired stock, identifying root causes to minimize future losses.

  • Inventory Optimization: Establish monitoring measures to find the "Sweet Spot" in stock levels—avoiding the costs of overstocking while preventing the revenue loss of stock-outs.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in stock control or inventory management.

  • Technical IQ: Solid knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and terminology within a multi-functional environment.

Core Competencies

  • ERP Proficiency: Strong experience with Odoo or similar computerized inventory systems.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret audit reports and investigate transaction frequencies.

  • Budgeting & Planning: Skills in managing stock budgets and forecasting replenishment needs.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to record-keeping and physical verification.
