Job Description:

We are looking for detail-oriented and high-integrity State Finance & Admin Officers to manage the financial and administrative backbone of our state operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that field activities are adequately funded, expenses are meticulously documented, and office logistics run seamlessly. You will serve as the vital link between state-level activities and HQ Finance, ensuring that every naira spent is accounted for and aligned with our mission of stewardship.

The ideal candidate is an organized professional with a background in accounting or administration who can maintain rigorous financial discipline in a fast-paced, field-heavy environment.

Requirements:

Financial Management & Bookkeeping

  • Petty Cash Oversight: Manage state-level petty cash, process small payments, and maintain accurate, up-to-date cash books.

  • Expense Reporting: Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly expense reports, ensuring every entry is backed by complete supporting documentation (receipts, invoices, etc.).

  • HQ Liaison: Coordinate directly with the HQ Finance Unit for fund requests, timely retirements, and monthly reconciliations.

  • Budget Monitoring: Support the State Coordinator in tracking expenditures against approved budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.

Administrative & Logistics Support

  • Operational Logistics: Provide administrative and logistical support for state-level workshops, stakeholder meetings, and community field activities.

  • Records Management: Maintain high-standard state office files, administrative records, and a comprehensive asset register for all organizational property in the state.

  • Procurement Compliance: Ensure that all state-level purchases and service engagements strictly adhere to organizational financial policies and procurement procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration.

  • Experience:

    • 1–2 years of experience in finance, administration, or office management.

    • Demonstrable experience in basic bookkeeping and financial record-keeping.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting.

    • Strong analytical skills for budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Integrity: Absolute honesty and responsibility in handling cash and organizational assets.

    • Organization: Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and filing systems.

    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal English; proficiency in Hausa or other local languages is a distinct advantage for state-level coordination.
