Job Description:

We are seeking an expert Senior SEO Specialist & Content Writer to join our team in Lekki-Ajah, Lagos. This is a strategic role for an SEO powerhouse who can blend data-driven technical optimization with high-quality, persuasive storytelling. You will be responsible for driving organic growth across search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms. Requirements:

• Strategic SEO Execution: Manage all aspects of Technical, On-page, and Off-page SEO. Implement best practices for title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, and internal linking to ensure maximum indexability and authority.

• Content Excellence: Write high-quality, SEO-optimized content that resonates with target audiences. Ensure all content aligns with editorial strategy, brand guidelines, and current SEO trends.

• Keyword & Data Analysis: Conduct deep-dive keyword research using industry-standard tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner). Monitor website health, traffic, and rankings using Google Analytics and Search Console.

• Performance Optimization: Stay ahead of algorithm updates and AI search trends (including AI Overviews). Identify and act on technical gaps to improve organic visibility on Google, Bing, and emerging AI search platforms.

• Link Building: Develop and execute strategies to generate high-quality backlinks, significantly increasing domain authority.

• Editorial Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to develop content calendars, brainstorm new ideas, and maintain the highest standards of grammar and style through rigorous proofreading.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited university.

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated SEO experience, preferably across multiple industries.

• Technical SEO Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of search engine algorithms, technical SEO architecture, on-page optimization, and off-page authority building.

• Tool Proficiency: Expert-level ability with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.

• Content Writing: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tones for diverse target audiences and content formats.

• Evidence of Success: Must provide at least 3 websites previously ranked successfully. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to generate measurable organic traffic and improve keyword positioning.

• CMS Familiarity: Experience managing and optimizing content within various Content Management Systems.
