Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity, target-driven Assistant Marketing Manager to lead aggressive revenue growth within our insurance portfolio. This is a senior-level marketing role designed for professionals who thrive in the high-stakes Lagos insurance market and possess an existing, robust network of brokers and corporate clients.
Your mission is to act as a strategic bridge between our products and the market, converting action plans into Gross Premium Written (GPW). You will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle—from onboarding new brokerage firms to ensuring 100% premium collection. If you are a closer with a track record of meeting multi-million naira targets, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Revenue Generation & Broker Expansion
Strategic Action Plans: Develop and execute monthly sales roadmaps and marketing strategies tailored to specific insurance products (Life, General, or Special Risks).
Broker Onboarding: Aggressively source and onboard new reputable brokers, expanding the company’s distribution network.
Direct Channel Growth: Identify and penetrate corporate accounts through direct marketing initiatives and high-level networking.
2. Portfolio Management & Credit Control
Premium Collection: Ensure all business generated adheres to the "No Premium, No Cover" policy, maintaining a high collection-to-production ratio.
Renewal Retention: Implement a rigorous follow-up system for policy renewals, ensuring high retention rates and client loyalty.
Underwriting Liaison: Verify the accuracy and technical integrity of policy documentation before delivery to ensure zero-error client onboarding.
3. Performance Reporting & Market Intelligence
Production Analytics: Prepare and present periodic reports on production, renewals, and collections to the management team.
Competitor Benchmarking: Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to provide feedback for product optimization.
Liaison & Relationship Building: Maintain high-visibility relationships with key decision-makers within the brokerage community and corporate sectors.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related discipline.
Experience: 4 – 10 years of relevant experience specifically within the Insurance industry.
Lagos Network: A proven and existing network within the Lagos Broker Market is highly desirable.
Certifications: Professional certification (e.g., CIIN, AIIN) is a significant advantage.
Core Competencies
Target Focus: A proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding Gross Premium Written (GPW) targets.
Negotiation: Persuasive presentation skills with the ability to close complex corporate deals.
Analytical IQ: Proficiency in preparing production and collection reports using modern CRM or MS Excel tools.
