Moniepoint is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our customer-focused engineering community. If you are passionate about building large-scale financial solutions and enjoy working with modern infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and Docker, this is your chance to make a real impact. You will be responsible for designing resilient, scalable backend services that process vast amounts of transaction data, helping us redefine the financial landscape.

Requirements:

• Architecture & Design: Design and implement high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot. You will own the architecture of scalable microservices that support our complex business needs.

• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, architect, and ship high-impact features.

• System Reliability: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a rigorous focus on testability. You will proactively debug complex issues and identify opportunities for technical refactoring.

• Data Integration: Integrate third-party APIs and services with robust error handling to ensure system resilience and graceful degradation.

• Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and the documentation of technical decisions to ensure team transparency and growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically focused on backend systems.
