Job Description:
- The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying business opportunities, negotiating deals, and maintaining customer satisfaction to meet and exceed sales targets.
- The role involves active field prospecting, onboarding new distributors, and managing existing accounts to ensure a steady flow of orders and timely payments.
- As a frontline representative of D-LIP Afrifoods Limited, the Sales Executive plays a critical role in expanding market presence and providing vital market intelligence to the leadership team.
Core Functions
- Business Development & Prospecting: Proactively identify and recruit new distributors, wholesalers, and retail outlets to expand the company’s footprint.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and revenue targets.
- Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and brand loyalty.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and consumer feedback, providing regular reports to management.
- Payment Collection & Credit Monitoring: Ensure all sales are fully paid for according to company credit policies and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly sales activity reports, including client visit logs and conversion rates.
- Brand Representation: Represent the company professionally at trade fairs, activations, and industry events.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Production and Logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery to customers.
Requirements:
- OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in field sales, preferably within the FMCG or food industry.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for sales tracking, Word for reports, PowerPoint for presentations).
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service orientation.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Lagos/Epe market and surrounding regions is an added advantage.
- Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive pricing and customer data.
