Job Description:
We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Officer to accelerate our expansion in the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector. This is not just a sales position; it is a strategic role designed for a market-shaper who can influence energy adoption and build the alliances necessary to power sustainable progress. You will be responsible for turning high-level conversations into signed contracts and expanding our footprint in solar and energy storage.
The ideal candidate is a proactive "closer" who thrives in a performance-driven culture and is motivated by a combination of a stable base salary and significant earning upside through commissions and long-term housing rewards.
Requirements:
Market Expansion & Revenue Growth
Strategic Growth: Take full ownership of expanding our market share in solar and energy storage solutions across untapped regions.
Lead Conversion: Identify high-potential opportunities and convert prospects into long-term, high-value partners.
Pipeline Management: Proactively manage the sales funnel from initial outreach to successful deal closure.
Relationship Management & Alliances
Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture relationships with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies, distributors, and large corporate clients.
Consultative Selling: Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate cutting-edge energy solutions that fit their specific operational needs.
Sales Strategy & Market Intelligence
Deal Closure: Craft winning proposals and lead complex negotiations with confidence to secure profitable contracts.
Insights to Action: Monitor market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor movements to inform revenue-generating business decisions.
Reporting: Track and report on sales performance against monthly and quarterly KPIs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
ND, HND, or B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
2–4 years of experience in business development or sales.
Industry Advantage: Prior experience in the solar or renewable energy sector is a strong asset.
Core Strengths:
Persuasion: A natural ability to communicate value and influence decision-makers.
Negotiation: Confident in navigating contract terms and closing deals.
Presentation: Excellent skills in delivering pitches to corporate boards and technical partners.
