We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • The Retail Distribution Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and optimization of all retail distribution activities across Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara.
  • The role ensures efficient stock movement from warehouse to retail outlets, manages distributor relationships, and drives sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement distribution strategies to ensure timely product availability across all retail channels in Sokoto.
  • Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail partners to optimize product coverage and visibility.
  • Monitor inventory levels, logistics, and replenishment schedules to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  • Lead, train, and supervise field sales and distribution teams to achieve sales and distribution targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute trade promotions and retail activations.
  • Track and analyze regional performance metrics, including sales growth, market share, and distribution efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and onboard new distribution channels or partners to expand market reach.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 - 7 years of experience in retail or FMCG distribution management, preferably in Northern Nigeria.
  • Proven track record in territory management, route-to-market strategy, and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Hausa proficiency is an added advantage).
  • Must be willing to travel extensively across Sokoto and neighboring states.
