Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Provider Liaison Officer to serve as the strategic link between our organization and our network of healthcare providers. This is a critical role designed for a professional who understands that the quality of an HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) is defined by the strength and compliance of its medical network.
You will be the face of our regional operations, managing relationships with hospitals and clinics to ensure they deliver top-tier care while adhering to our financial and operational guidelines. This role requires a unique blend of diplomacy, analytical rigor, and deep knowledge of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). If you are a natural negotiator who can resolve complex billing disputes and drive provider excellence, we want you to lead our regional network.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Network Governance
Relationship Architecture: Build and sustain high-trust partnerships with key medical directors and facility administrators across the region.
Compliance & Quality Audits: Conduct rigorous site visits and clinical audits to ensure healthcare providers meet our quality standards and NHIS regulatory requirements.
Credentialing Oversight: Ensure all providers in the network maintain valid licenses and meet the minimum criteria for service delivery.
2. Financial Performance & Conflict Resolution
Billing Integrity: Act as the primary arbitrator for billing discrepancies, ensuring claims align with agreed tariffs and preventing overbilling.
Dispute Management: Serve as the first point of contact to resolve conflicts between providers and the HMO, ensuring minimal disruption to enrollee care.
Operational Efficiency: Analyze regional claims data to identify trends, mitigate financial leakage, and improve the overall profitability of the regional network.
3. Enrollee Satisfaction & Quality of Care
Patient Advocacy: Handle enrollee complaints regarding provider services, ensuring swift resolution and a high Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Provider Education: Organize and lead training sessions for hospital staff on HMO protocols, referral processes, and documentation standards.
Performance Reporting: Prepare monthly regional reports on provider performance, enrollee satisfaction levels, and network gaps for executive review.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Proven experience in healthcare administration, insurance, or as a Liaison Officer. HMO experience is a significant advantage.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) guidelines and private healthcare tariffs.
Analytical IQ: Ability to interpret medical utilization data and financial reports to drive regional strategy.
