Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and highly experienced Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in the successful delivery of complex processing and packaging projects (Type L1-L3 and NPI). Reporting to the Manager of Project Management & Implementation for Maghreb & West Africa, you will be responsible for the total lifecycle of projects ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a master of stakeholder management who can navigate informal authority to build team cohesiveness and drive project excellence across the region.

Requirements:

  • Project Integration: Synthesize multiple related activities and sub-projects to fulfill the overarching project scope and objectives.

  • Scope & Work Breakdown: Define and manage project deliverables based on stakeholder requirements using deliverable-oriented work breakdown structures (WBS).

  • Financial & Resource Management: Develop, execute, and control project budgets and procurement plans to ensure supplier selection aligns with project goals.

  • Stakeholder & Communication: Implement a robust communication plan to manage the expectations and influence of all internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifetime.

  • Leadership & Team Development: Create project organizations with clear roles and responsibilities; motivate and train teams to boost morale and facilitate cross-functional cooperation.

  • Risk & Quality Assurance: Develop and monitor risk management plans and employ systematic quality activities to meet project value.

  • Contractual & Governance: Manage contractual arrangements, execute project charters, and drive productivity through global reusable solutions and project governance tools (e.g., OFCE).

  • Change Management: Control scope changes and issue Variation Orders (VOs) while providing "lessons learned" to improve organizational processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related fields) is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or in a high-level project leadership role, managing technical teams and complex stakeholders.

  • Languages: Fluent French and Proficiency in English (written and spoken) are strictly required for this regional role.

  • Standards: Proven ability to apply professional project management competencies according to PMI standards.

  • Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification is highly preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets.
