Job Description:
Are you an aspiring development professional looking to kickstart your career in the non-profit sector? The Rio Foundation is seeking a motivated and proactive Programs Intern to provide vital support to our Programs Team. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in the full project lifecycle from planning and community engagement to monitoring and reporting. If you are passionate about social impact and eager to learn the ropes of NGO program implementation, we want to hear from you.
Requirements:
Project Implementation: Assist in the day-to-day planning and execution of program activities.
Data Management: Support the team with data collection, entry, and analysis to track project progress.
Documentation & Reporting: Help prepare reports, presentations, and essential program documentation.
Event Coordination: Assist in organizing training sessions, workshops, and community outreach events.
Research Support: Conduct basic research to compile background information for new project proposals.
Field Support: Participate in field visits and engage directly with beneficiaries when required.
Administration: Handle general administrative tasks and maintain organized program files and records.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Currently an undergraduate or a recent graduate in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
Passion: A demonstrated interest in pursuing a career within the non-profit/development sector.
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
