Job Description:

We are seeking a technically elite Production Manager to lead our polymer manufacturing facility. This is a critical leadership role that demands a rare blend of deep chemical engineering knowledge and high-stakes operational management. You will be responsible for the entire "raw-to-retail" lifecycle, ensuring our production floor operates as a high-efficiency, zero-waste, and safety-first environment.

The ideal candidate is a polymer processing specialist who can optimize extrusion or injection workflows, manage a multidisciplinary workforce, and meet aggressive production targets without compromising quality. If you have 5+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing and a track record of supervisory success, we invite you to lead our production team.

Requirements:

1. Technical Process & Workflow Optimization

• Process Mastery: Oversee complex polymer processing techniques, ensuring optimal machine settings, temperature controls, and material ratios.

• Production Planning: Develop and execute rigorous production schedules to ensure resource optimization and 100% on-time delivery of finished goods.

• Waste Mitigation: Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize material scrap and energy consumption.

2. Quality, Safety & Maintenance Oversight

• Total Quality Management: Partner with the QA team to ensure every batch meets precise tensile strength, color consistency, and durability standards.

• HSE Governance: Enforce strict industrial safety standards and environmental protocols to maintain a zero-incident workplace.

• Asset Reliability: Supervise maintenance schedules for heavy-duty manufacturing equipment, ensuring 24/7 operational uptime and preventative care.

3. Leadership & Performance Reporting

• Team Synergy: Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of operators, technicians, and supervisors to achieve peak performance.

• Data-Driven Reporting: Utilize digital tools to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing senior management with transparent reports on output, downtime, and cost-per-unit.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience specifically in a polymer/plastics manufacturing environment.

• Leadership: Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is mandatory.

• Age: Not more than 45 years as of your last birthday.

Core Competencies

• Polymer IQ: Deep understanding of polymer materials (PP, PE, PVC, etc.) and processing workflows.

• Resilience: Proven ability to manage high-pressure production deadlines and troubleshoot technical failures on the fly.

• Tech Literacy: Strong computer literacy for production tracking and resource planning (ERP/MRP).

• Certifications: Professional certifications in Production Management or HSE (e.g., NEBOSH) are a significant advantage.
