Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to lead the sourcing and purchasing of essential goods and services for our beverage manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be a vital link in our supply chain, ensuring that production remains uninterrupted through strategic inventory management and cost-effective procurement. You will balance the need for high-quality materials with a rigorous focus on cost-saving opportunities and efficient vendor management.

Requirements:
Sourcing & Vendor Management
Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best value for raw materials, packaging, and services without compromising quality.
Market Research: Continuously conduct market research to identify new vendors and stay updated on price fluctuations and cost-saving opportunities.
Supplier Database: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of pre-qualified suppliers, tracking performance metrics and compliance.
Operational Procurement
Order Management: Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders (POs) promptly to align with manufacturing timelines.
Production Support: Coordinate with the production and warehouse departments to monitor inventory levels and prevent stock-outs of critical raw materials.
Logistics Coordination: Ensure the timely delivery of all materials, following up with vendors to resolve any delays that could impact production schedules.
Financial & Administrative Control
Reporting: Track and report on procurement activities, providing detailed cost analyses and vendor performance evaluations to management.
Compliance: Strictly adhere to company procurement policies and procedures to ensure transparency and accountability.
Financial Liaison: Work closely with the finance department to facilitate smooth invoice processing and ensure timely payment to vendors.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
B.Sc. or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
2–3 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Advantage: Direct experience working within a manufacturing or beverage company.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of procurement workflows and supply chain principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and experience with automated procurement systems/ERP software.
