Job Description:

  • Monitor and optimize plant performance for Electrolysis, Brine Treatment, Chlorine Handling, Hydrogen, and HCl systems.
  • Review and validate PFD, P&IDs, Heat & Material Balance.
  • Conduct process simulations and performance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations.
  • Participate in HAZOP, Risk Assessments, and Process Safety Reviews.
  • Troubleshoot process upsets and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor product quality (Caustic, Chlorine, HCl) and yield optimization.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
  • Support commissioning, start-up, and performance guarantee tests.
  • Review vendor technical documents and process guarantees.
  • Implement process improvement and energy optimization initiatives.
  • Prepare SOPs, operating manuals, and technical reports.
  • Ensure safe handling of hazardous chemicals (Cl₂, H₂, HCl, NaOH).

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Membrane Cell Technology / Electrolysis Process.
  • Expertise in Brine purification and dechlorination systems.
  • Process Calculation and Engineering Design
  • Understanding of Chlorine compression, drying, liquefaction systems.
  • Knowledge of Hydrogen handling and safety systems.
  • Familiarity with Process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus).
  • Experience in Mass & Energy Balance calculations.
  • Understanding of Corrosion and material selection for chlorine service.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM).
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO, IEC, API, and environmental standards.
  • Experience in Effluent Treatment and environmental compliance.
