We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- Ensure proper procedures are followed in carrying quality checks on finished goods.
- Check the quality of raw materials, decode batch sheets and supervise weighing of raw materials before production.
- Monitor production process of both solvent-based and water-based factories, ensuring strict adherence to all process control routines in the manufacture of paint products.
- Ensure that tanks, mobile pans and stirrers used for manufacturing are properly cleaned before use.
- Ensure that the raw materials are added in sequence with strict compliance with manufacturing instructions, and appropriate filling weight for products is adhered to.
- Prepare a technical report on the stability test of resins and colourants.
- Ensures products released meet customers’ requirements.
- Checks quality status for products returned from business partners/customers.
- Supervises the evaluation of new raw materials for preliminary checks.
- Visits customer sites to resolve complaints and teaches product knowledge.
- Conducts comprehensive raw material checks.
- Investigates product non-conformity and resolves issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field from a reputable and accredited university.
- Masters is an added advantage.
- Experience: 1- 3 years of proven experience in the paint industry or as a researcher.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Proven knowledge of standard operating procedures in a chemistry laboratory
- Good understanding of procedures, quality standards and various product specifications
- Proven knowledge of various testing methods to confirm and measure different types of products and materials for quality purposes
- Good knowledge of quality assurance /control measures
- Good understanding of safety procedures in the Laboratory
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
