Job Description:

  • The Physics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality physics instruction that promotes students’ understanding of scientific principles and encourages critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving.
  • The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting learners in developing a strong foundation in physics.
  • The successful candidate will create a stimulating learning environment that inspires students to explore scientific concepts while achieving academic excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Instruction:

  • Plan and deliver engaging physics lessons in line with the school curriculum.
  • Explain scientific concepts clearly using demonstrations, experiments, and practical activities.
  • Encourage student participation and active learning.

 

Curriculum Implementation:

  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and instructional resources.
  • Ensure lessons align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
  • Integrate practical laboratory activities into physics instruction.

 

Student Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Design and administer tests, assignments, and examinations.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.

 

Laboratory and Practical Supervision:

  • Supervise physics laboratory activities and experiments.
  • Ensure safe handling and proper use of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain laboratory materials and ensure safety protocols are followed.

 

Student Support and Mentorship:

  • Provide academic guidance and support to students.
  • Identify students who require additional help and provide remedial support.
  • Encourage students’ interest in science and research.

 

Professional and School Engagement

  • Participate in departmental meetings and school academic activities.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to improve teaching strategies and student outcomes.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as science clubs or competitions.

The Physics Teacher will be evaluated based on:

Requirements:

Education:

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to conduct and supervise laboratory experiments.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching tools, digital resources, and classroom technology.
