Job Description:
We are seeking a competent and hands-on Operations Supervisor to bridge the gap between production and the warehouse. In this role, you will be the primary coordinator on the plant floor, ensuring that raw materials move seamlessly into production and that finished goods are efficiently transitioned into storage and logistics. You will be responsible for driving workforce productivity, maintaining rigorous safety standards, and identifying the small inefficiencies that can impact a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is a resilient leader who thrives on the floor, possesses strong analytical skills for performance reporting, and maintains an unwavering focus on operational discipline.
Requirements:
Daily Operational Oversight
Production & Warehouse Coordination: Supervise daily schedules to ensure targets are met. You will align production workers, warehouse personnel, and loaders to ensure a seamless material flow.
Workflow Optimization: Monitor machinery, processes, and staff workflows to minimize downtime and enhance overall plant efficiency.
Facility Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and "audit-ready" environment across both the manufacturing floor and the warehouse.
People Leadership & Performance
Supervision: Manage shifts for a diverse team of workers, technicians, and loaders, ensuring high levels of discipline and productivity.
Training: Provide on-the-job guidance and training on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical safety standards.
Task Management: Assign daily duties and monitor team performance, implementing corrective measures when output or quality falls below set benchmarks.
Safety, Quality & Maintenance
Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to company policies and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Quality Control: Monitor product output to ensure every batch meets internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Asset Management: Oversee the proper handling of tools and machinery; you will be the first point of contact for reporting equipment faults to the maintenance team to prevent operational disruptions.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Data Integrity: Maintain accurate records of production output, inventory movements, workforce attendance, and any workplace incidents.
Management Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to provide management with a clear view of plant performance.
Process Enhancement: Identify bottlenecks and propose strategies for process improvement and waste reduction.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Minimum of a First Degree (BSc/HND) or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
2–3 years of relevant experience in operations, plant supervision, or a similar industrial environment.
Proven ability to coordinate multiple departments (Production, Warehouse, Logistics) simultaneously.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of plant operations and industrial relations.
Familiarity with safety standards (HSE) and regulatory compliance.
Core Competencies:
Leadership: Strong supervisory capabilities with a focus on team management.
Analytical Thinking: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in performance reporting.
Resilience: Ability to remain resourceful and adaptable in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
