Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and operationally savvy Project Coordinator to bridge the gap between strategic project execution and daily terminal operations. This role is critical in ensuring that new infrastructure, equipment deployments, and system upgrades are integrated seamlessly into the port’s ecosystem without disrupting ongoing productivity or safety standards.

The ideal candidate will act as the "voice of operations" in the project room, ensuring that every deliverable aligns with the practical realities of ship-side, yard, and gate workflows.

Requirements:

Project Coordination & Implementation

• Execution Oversight: Coordinate all operational aspects of projects affecting infrastructure, equipment, or terminal systems.

• Timeline Management: Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely execution and operational rollout.

• Requirement Integration: Ensure that specific operational needs (e.g., crane clearance, yard traffic flow) are clearly defined and integrated into project blueprints.

Operations Representation

• Lead Representative: Act as the primary advocate for the Operations Department across the full project spectrum.

• Strategic Insights: Provide operational recommendations during the design phase to ensure alignment with productivity goals and safety requirements.

• Cross-Functional Liaison: Represent operational interests in meetings with Engineering, IT, and Planning departments.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

• Internal Alignment: Liaise with Ship-side, Yard, and Planning teams to minimize operational friction during project implementation.

• External Management: Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants during the installation of new terminal assets.

• Communication Hub: Facilitate clear communication channels between technical project teams and on-the-ground operational units.

Process Optimization & Readiness

• Risk Mitigation: Evaluate the impact of proposed projects on live operations and propose measures to mitigate downtime or safety risks.

• Operational Readiness: Lead the transition for new infrastructure or systems, including staff training, testing, and operational handover.

• Post-Project Monitoring: Track KPIs after project completion and recommend adjustments to optimize performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: * Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a significant advantage.

• Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in port/terminal operations, logistics, or operational project coordination.

• Core Competencies:

  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of port/terminal workflows and maritime logistics.

  • Analytical Ability: Strong skills in analyzing workflows and identifying bottlenecks or opportunities for optimization.

  • Multi-Project Handling: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.

• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in project tracking tools and operational reporting software.

  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
