Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Operations Product Officer to lead and optimize production at our EA facility and associated integrated production systems. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meeting oil and gas production targets through cost-effective planning, rigorous technical troubleshooting, and unwavering adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards. You will bridge the gap between daily output and long-term asset integrity, ensuring that the facility operates at peak availability.

The ideal candidate is a technical expert in the oil and gas value chain, capable of managing complex "Permit to Work" systems and stepping into high-stakes leadership roles during emergencies.

Requirements:

Production Strategy & Execution

• Target Management: Coordinate all production activities to hit oil and gas targets while balancing operating costs and technical integrity.

• Operational Priorities: Consult with Maintenance and Operations teams to set daily priorities that align with the approved budget and safety protocols.

• Integrated Planning: Participate in project reviews and integrated activity planning to ensure operational inputs are captured for smoother execution.

Technical Troubleshooting & Asset Integrity

• Process Optimization: Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot process upsets immediately to sustain facility availability.

• Modifications: Identify and lead the implementation of plant and process modifications aimed at enhancing asset life-cycle efficiency and integrity.

• Preventive Maintenance: Oversee the execution of maintenance tasks on critical process equipment to minimize breakdowns and safeguard plant standards.

Leadership & Safety (HSE)

• Emergency Response: Act as a core member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in the control room; organize responses to critical situations and ensure facility security.

• Permit to Work (PTW): Manage the implementation of the PTW system, ensuring all conditions for a safe workplace are met and upheld.

• Mentorship: Provide technical advice and "on-the-job" coaching to junior staff to improve overall team efficiency and best practices.

• Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain productive relationships with host communities, supervisors, and external stakeholders to ensure a stable operating environment.

Reporting & Analysis

• Performance Tracking: Produce regular facility and equipment reports to identify deviations and resolve potential issues before they escalate.

• Technical Liaison: Identify operational bottlenecks and collaborate with specialized technical functions to resolve complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Degree: B.Sc. or HND in an Engineering discipline or the Numerical Sciences.

• Seniority: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience specifically in oil & gas production operations.

• Discipline Mastery: Proven high-level skill in core areas of the production discipline (separation, stabilization, utilities, etc.).

Technical & Soft Skills

• Troubleshooting: Expert ability to diagnose and resolve process upsets in an integrated production system.

• HSE Mastery: Deep understanding of safety regulations, ERT protocols, and international oil and gas safety standards.

• Leadership: Ability to act as a relief Team Lead and manage diverse technical teams under pressure.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong capacity for numerical analysis and facility performance reporting.
