Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Officer, Regulatory Compliance to anchor the governance engine of our Group Functions at Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island. In the complex and multi-jurisdictional financial services landscape, success is defined by "Governance Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize evolving circulars and communication from regulators with the clinical precision required for Risk Assessments, Policy Localization, and Regional Adoption. This role is designed for a "Framework Architect" with 1–2 years of core compliance experience and 3–4 years of stakeholder management expertise who can blend "Legal Grit" (interpreting draft regulations) with the "Analytical Agility" required to detect exposures and drive corrective actions.
Requirements:
1. Regulatory Orchestration & Strategy Governance
Intelligence Sovereignty: Monitor and disseminate new circulars from regulators within 24 hours, acting as the primary "Source of Regulatory Real-Time Awareness."
Framework Architecture: Ensure all subsidiaries adopt and implement Compliance policies, providing the "Structural Foundation" for group-wide alignment.
Bulletin Stewardship: Prepare consolidated regulatory development bulletins on a periodic basis, ensuring the "Source of Management Foresight" is elite and informed.
2. Risk Resilience & Compliance Logic
Assessment Sovereignty: Conduct rigorous risk assessments and quality assurance reviews, acting as the primary "Source of Process Integrity."
Localization Architecture: Update policies with relevant regulatory requirements and African Region localization, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for jurisdictional compliance.
Corrective Stewardship: Investigate breaches and ensure immediate corrective actions, maintaining the "Source of Institutional Resilience."
3. Governance Integrity & Research Power
Stakeholder Sovereignty: Coordinate the collation of comments on draft regulations from responsible teams, acting as the primary "Source of Institutional Feedback."
Audit Architecture: Monitor adherence with standards to identify areas of improvement and detect exposures, providing the "Visual Foundation" for risk mitigation.
Research Logic: Promote good governance through proactive research and information gathering, utilizing 3–4 years of stakeholder expertise to maximize the "Source of Interpersonal Influence."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or Business Administration (Master’s is a strategic advantage).
Certification: Compliance certification or related professional qualification is highly preferred.
Experience: 1–2 years in financial services compliance plus 3–4 years in stakeholder management and financial products.
