Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient NOC Engineer to serve as the first line of defense for our network infrastructure. This is a mission-critical role responsible for the health, performance, and maximum uptime of our global network systems.

As a NOC Engineer, you will operate at the heart of our technical operations, utilizing advanced Network Management Systems (NMS) to detect, diagnose, and resolve faults across Fiber, Radio, and IP/MPLS core networks. You are not just a monitor; you are an incident responder and an optimization expert. Requirements:

1. Proactive Monitoring & Performance Supervision

• System Surveillance: Maintain a 360-degree view of the network (Fiber, Radio, IP/MPLS, Core, and Edge) to identify performance degradation before it impacts the end-user.

• KPI Governance: Use NMS/OSS tools to supervise critical metrics including uptime, capacity, alarms, and latency thresholds.

• Health Checks: Conduct routine system health checks and generate data-driven daily/weekly performance reports for senior management.

2. Incident Response & Fault Resolution

• First-Line Diagnosis: Perform rapid technical diagnosis for network incidents, implementing immediate corrective actions to restore service.

• Ticketing & Documentation: Own the incident lifecycle by documenting all faults in ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA), ensuring a clear audit trail for every event.

• Escalation Management: Execute precise escalation paths in alignment with strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), coordinating with Field Support and Core Engineering teams.

3. Change Management & Service Provisioning

• Controlled Implementation: Execute network changes and updates under rigid change control guidelines to minimize disruption.

• Infrastructure Support: Support service provisioning and restoration activities, ensuring new clients or nodes are integrated seamlessly into the network.

• Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external vendors and operators to resolve third-party network support issues and inter-connect faults.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a NOC or Network Operations environment.

• Technical IQ: Strong understanding of IP/MPLS, Fiber optics, Radio transmission, and the OSI model.

• Certifications: CCNA/CCNP or JNCIA/JNCIS certifications are highly advantageous.

• Operational Grit: Ability to remain calm and prioritize tasks effectively under high-pressure outage scenarios.

• Documentation Mastery: High attention to detail regarding network diagrams, logs, and incident reporting.
