St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and experienced Registered Midwife to lead our Maternity Unit as the Administrative Manager/H.O.D. Requirements:
Clinical Leadership: Oversee the delivery of antenatal, labor, postnatal, and emergency maternity services, ensuring adherence to the highest professional standards.
Operational Management: Manage daily unit operations, including duty rosters, departmental scheduling, and the maintenance of patient records.
Team Supervision & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of nurses, midwives, and assistants; foster a culture of teamwork, continuous professional development, and emotional intelligence.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and ethical standards; proactively address service gaps.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between the Maternity unit and other departments (Doctors, Laboratory, Pharmacy) to ensure seamless patient management.
Resource Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels of maternity equipment and supplies, ensuring their proper utilization.
Strategic Reporting: Represent the department in hospital management meetings and provide regular reports on performance, challenges, and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Certification: Must hold both Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) qualifications with a valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Education: Additional qualifications in Health Management or Administration will be considered a significant advantage.
Experience: 5–10 years of clinical experience in maternity or obstetric care, with a proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role.
Salary
