About Company:
At Charles Ardor & Company, we go beyond numbers to deliver financial clarity and peace of mind. As a management accounting and consulting firm, we empower businesses and nonprofits with innovative solutions, expert oversight, and strategic insights.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Manager, Finance Operations to serve as the Practice Lead and operational engine of Charles Ardor & Company. In a specialized professional services landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the workflow and the precision of the technical output—success is defined by "Practice Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize client delivery with the clinical precision required for Accounting Advisory, Tax Compliance, and Financial Operations. This role is designed for a "Strategic Architect", specifically a professional with 5 to 10 years of post-qualification experience (ACA/ACCA)—who can blend "Technical Grit" (reviewing complex associate output and ensuring Nigerian tax compliance) with the "Operational Agility" required to own client relationships and lead a growing technical team.
Requirements:
1. Orchestration & Practice Governance
Delivery Sovereignty: Own the quality, timeliness, and consistency of the firm’s entire service portfolio, acting as the primary "Source of Technical Truth."
System Architecture: Organize work into repeatable workflows and systems, providing the "Structural Foundation" for operational scalability and efficiency.
Integrity Stewardship: Review and approve all client-facing work from associates and analysts, ensuring the "Source of Professional Excellence" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Client Logic
Relationship Sovereignty: Serve as the senior point of contact for all clients, acting as the primary "Source of Expectation Management."
Scope Architecture: Directly manage conversations regarding scope, timelines, and deliverables, providing the "Functional Foundation" for engagement profitability.
Proactive Stewardship: Identify operational needs and act independently without waiting for direction, maintaining the "Source of Institutional Initiative."
3. Operational Integrity & Leadership Power
Talent Sovereignty: Lead and develop a technical team of associates, acting as the primary "Source of Capability Building."
Strategic Architecture: Align weekly with the Managing Principal to flag priorities, providing the "Relational Foundation" for firm-level decision-making.
Velocity Logic: Utilize 5–10 years of post-qualification expertise to accelerate the "Review-to-Client" cycle, maximizing the "Source of Practice Throughput."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Certification: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is mandatory.
Experience: 5 – 10 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, audit, or advisory.
Ownership: Proven history of owning client relationships independently (not just assisting).
Technical Power: Familiarity with Nigerian Tax (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and accounting software (Zoho Books/Projects preferred).
Core Competencies
Operational Thinking: Natural instinct to organize work into systems and high-efficiency workflows.
Leadership Grit: Committed to developing people and holding a team accountable to high standards.
Digital Agility: Comfortable with AI tools and project management technology in a professional context.
