Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented PSM Intern to support our supply chain management and health systems strengthening initiatives. Working closely with the State-based SCMS Specialist, you will be instrumental in the efficient execution of project activities, logistics processes, and data management. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified Pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in public health, malaria project implementation, and large-scale commodity distribution oversight.
Requirements:
Project Oversight & Support: Assist in monitoring program implementation, ensuring adherence to work plans, milestones, and deliverables. Provide oversight for LGA-level routine activities, including data validation, spot-checks, and health commodity distribution.
Documentation & Reporting: Compile activity reports, draft internal process tools (purchase requests, travel advances, expense reports), and document success stories and lessons learned.
Logistics & Inventory: Coordinate logistics for workshops, training, and stakeholder meetings; maintain an accurate inventory of project equipment at the state level.
Data Management: Support routine data entry, LMIS data review on the NHLMIS platform, POD reconciliation, and quality improvement activities.
Last-Mile Distribution: Assist in tracking the distribution of malaria health products to ensure timely delivery to the final point of care.
Technical Assistance: Provide support for technical activities to ensure timely and effective project implementation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
Experience: 1 year or less of experience in public health, health systems strengthening, or malaria project implementation.
Core Competencies:
Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and partners.
Management: Strong ability to assess priorities, manage multiple time-sensitive tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Facilitation: Competence in training development and group facilitation.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel (approximately 25% of the time) to project sites.
