Job Description:

• The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all restaurant facilities andequipment are in good working condition at all times.
• The role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and supporting a safeand fully functional environment for staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspection of restaurant facilities and equipment (kitchen and front-of-house)
• Perform preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdown
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, air conditioners, and plumbing systems
• Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems are functioning properly
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
• Coordinate with external technicians or vendors when necessary
• Maintain maintenance logs and records of repairs and servicing
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Monitor usage of tools and maintenance materials
• Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment for daily operations
• Ensure minimal downtime of critical restaurant equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum of an OND / NCE or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix equipment faults efficiently
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and procedures
• Good problem-solving and technical skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
