Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on and technically rigorous Maintenance Executive (Mechanical) to anchor the operational heartbeat of our agro-processing plant in Ogun State. In the high-volume soya processing sector, success is defined by "Throughput Stability",the ability to maintain complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with zero tolerance for unscheduled downtime. This role is designed for a "Mechanical Steward" with 3–5 years of experience who can blend "Hands-on Grit" with the "Diagnostic Precision" required to maintain extruders, expellers, and hammer mills.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Interruption Production and Peak Equipment Efficiency." You will be the primary custodian of our machinery: responsible for preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, the commissioning of new equipment, and the supervision of junior technical teams. If you possess "Problem-Solving Mastery," a deep understanding of Agro-Industrial Mechanics, and a commitment to plant safety standards, we want you to drive our operational excellence.

Requirements:

1. Preventive & Corrective Asset Care

• PM Orchestration: Execute rigorous preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, and motors to extend equipment lifespan and prevent catastrophic failures.

• Rapid Response Repair: Perform corrective maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues on production lines with speed and precision.

• Commissioning & Testing: Support the installation and testing of new processing machinery, ensuring all equipment is commissioned according to technical specifications.

2. Specialized Agro-Processing Maintenance

• Heavy Machinery Stewardship: Maintain and troubleshoot core soya processing equipment, including Expellers, Extruders, Crackers, and Hammer Mills.

• Separation Technology: Ensure the optimal performance of Destoners, drum sieves, and separators to maintain product purity and processing quality.

• Process Optimization: Identify mechanical bottlenecks and implement reliability improvements to enhance machine handling and overall plant efficiency.

3. Governance, Safety & Leadership

• Technical Reporting: Maintain high-fidelity maintenance logs and prepare weekly/monthly performance reports for the Head of Department.

• Safety & SOP Compliance: Conduct regular machine safety inspections and guide operators on proper handling techniques to ensure 100% adherence to plant safety protocols.

• Supervisory Oversight: Lead and mentor junior technicians while coordinating with external contractors for specialized mechanical interventions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Minimum of OND in Mechanical Engineering (HND or B.Sc. is a significant added advantage).

• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in an agro-industrial plant (Soya processing, oil milling, or grain processing preferred).

• Technical Mastery: Practical experience with Conveyors, Extruders, Expellers, and Pneumatic systems.
