Job Description:

We are seeking a results-oriented and persuasive Loan Marketing / Disbursement Officer to drive our lending operations in Abuja. In this role, you will be the primary link between the bank and our clients, responsible for identifying high-quality leads, marketing our diverse loan products, and ensuring the seamless disbursement of funds. The ideal candidate will balance a "sales-first" mindset with a disciplined approach to risk assessment, ensuring that our loan portfolio remains healthy and compliant with all credit policies.

Requirements:

Marketing & Lead Generation

• Product Promotion: Actively market and promote the bank’s loan products to individuals, SMEs, and corporate entities within Abuja.

• Lead Acquisition: Proactively identify and generate high-quality leads through field marketing, networking, and referrals.

• Client Advisory: Assess the unique financial needs of each client and recommend the most suitable loan products and structures.

Loan Application & Disbursement

• Documentation Guidance: Walk clients through the entire application process, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.

• Credit Assessment: Conduct preliminary credit checks and initial risk evaluations to determine client eligibility.

• Cycle Management: Follow up on pending applications with the credit team to ensure rapid approval and timely disbursement.

• Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all marketing activities, applications, and disbursement statuses.

Portfolio Management & Recovery

• Relationship Building: Foster long-term relationships with clients to drive brand loyalty and encourage repeat business.

• Repayment Monitoring: Monitor loan repayment schedules and provide support or follow-up for recovery efforts when necessary.

• Compliance: Ensure every stage of the marketing and disbursement process adheres to internal bank policies and national regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Banking, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience in sales or marketing within the financial services sector (Microfinance or Commercial Banking experience is a plus).

• Location: Candidates must be resident in Abuja (FCT) and possess a strong understanding of the local market landscape.

• Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to "close" deals while maintaining professional integrity.

• Analytical Ability: Basic understanding of credit risk and financial statement analysis.
