Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Logistics Officer to join our team. If you are an early-career professional passionate about transportation, supply chain management, and operational efficiency, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a strong career foundation.
In this role, you will be the engine room of our daily operations, tracking deliveries, keeping our drivers coordinated, and ensuring that our goods move smoothly from point A to point B.
Requirements:
Daily Operations & Coordination
Planning: Assist in planning and coordinating daily deliveries and haulage activities to ensure everything runs on schedule.
Tracking: Monitor shipments in real-time and provide accurate status updates to our clients and internal teams.
Driver Coordination: Serve as a key point of contact for our drivers, ensuring they receive clear instructions for timely pickups and deliveries.
Documentation & Reporting
Paperwork: Support the team with critical documentation, including managing waybills, delivery notes, and invoices.
Records Management: Keep our logistics records accurate and up-to-date in our tracking systems.
Resource Monitoring: Assist in monitoring fuel usage and report any operational issues, breakdowns, or delays to senior staff immediately.
Problem Solving
Support: Act as a first responder for delivery challenges or route issues. You will help troubleshoot these hurdles to ensure customer satisfaction.
Administrative Support: Assist the logistics unit with general administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: You have 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
Education: You hold a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical Skills: You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
Communication: You have strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. You are comfortable speaking with drivers and clients alike.
Bonus Points: A strong familiarity with Lagos routes and traffic patterns will be a significant advantage in this role.
