Job Description:

MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices is seeking a highly technical and mission-driven IT Officer to anchor our digital ecosystem. This role is far more than traditional support; you will be a guardian of our IT vision, ensuring that our infrastructure, data security, and applications empower our team to deliver life-changing reproductive health services.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide 1st and 2nd level support across a complex hybrid environment. From managing Azure cloud architecture and high-level networking to securing sensitive patient data and supporting our CLIC+ application, your technical expertise will directly impact our ability to reach "Children by Choice, not Chance." Requirements:

1. Infrastructure Resilience & Cloud Administration

  • System Stewardship: Ensure the 24/7 availability of servers, storage, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) environments.

  • Azure Mastery: Take full ownership of the architecture and administration of our Azure cloud infrastructure, aligning digital resources with business priorities.

  • Network Governance: Configure and manage switches, routers, and wireless devices across LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments to ensure seamless connectivity for regional and support offices.

2. Data Security, Governance & Compliance

  • Security Enforcement: Implement and monitor rigorous security protocols, including anti-virus, encryption, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) to protect MSI Nigeria’s sensitive data.

  • Disaster Recovery: Lead effective backup and restore procedures, ensuring a robust disaster recovery plan is in place and tested.

  • IT Asset Management: Maintain a precise, real-time register of all IT assets (PCs, Phones, Servers) within the evolving ecosystem.

3. User Support & Business Intelligence

  • Service Desk Excellence: Act as the primary 1st and 2nd level support for user requests, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents via the IT Service Desk and maintaining an accurate incident log.

  • Data Presentation: Develop and manage databases and SQL queries to create insightful dashboards for the Senior Management Team.

  • Remote & Outreach Support: Provide patient, high-quality remote support to team members, specifically supporting the CLIC+ application for our Outreach Channels.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: First Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience, with at least 3 years in a similar strategic IT role, preferably within an NGO environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Azure, M365, OneDrive, MS Teams, and Windows domain environments.

  • Certifications: Professional IT certifications such as CCNA, MCP, or Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) are highly advantageous.

Core Competencies

  • Network & Hardware: Strong hands-on experience with routers, switches, CCTV, Access Control, and Time & Attendance devices.

  • Methodology: Knowledge of project management and service frameworks like ITIL or Prince2.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
