Job Description:

We are seeking a technically proficient Application Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance software solutions for our core banking and mortgage platforms. In this role, you will lead the development of critical modules including loan origination and repayment systems while ensuring seamless integration with third-party payment gateways and credit bureaus. You will work within a cross-functional team to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the financial services domain, specifically regarding data accuracy, audit trails, and the mortgage lifecycle.

Requirements:

Application Development & Integration

• Core Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain robust core banking and mortgage applications, with a focus on modular loan systems.

• System Integration: Lead the integration of internal applications with essential third-party services, such as payment processors and credit bureaus.

• Architectural Contribution: Contribute to system design discussions and develop microservices that enhance platform scalability and reliability.

Performance & Security Optimization

• Database Efficiency: Optimize system performance through advanced SQL query tuning and efficient database schema design.

• Security Compliance: Implement secure coding practices to ensure all applications meet stringent financial regulatory standards, including KYC and AML principles.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous code reviews and unit testing to maintain high coding standards and system integrity.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into high-performing technical features.

• Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows.

• DevOps Synergy: Utilize CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (Docker) to streamline deployment and maintenance processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 3–6 years of hands-on professional software development experience.

  • Proven background in building financial, banking, or fintech applications.

• Technical Skills:

  • Languages: Strong proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or Node.js.

  • Data: Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational database design.

  • Architecture: Practical experience with APIs, RESTful services, and microservices.

  • Tools: Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker) and version control (Git).

• Domain Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the mortgage/loan lifecycle and repayment processes.

  • Strong awareness of financial regulations and the importance of audit trails.
