Job Description:

As we continue to expand, we seek a skilled IT Officer to manage and support our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and security.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Ensure optimal performance and uptime of the bank's IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and communication systems.

Systems Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support to all staff, resolving IT-related issues promptly.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to minimize disruptions.

Data Security and Backup:

  • Implement and monitor data security measures to safeguard the bank's sensitive information.
  • Ensure regular backups of critical data and test recovery processes.

Core Banking System Support:

  • Manage and maintain the core banking application, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors for updates, troubleshooting, and system integrations.

Network and Internet Management:

  • Manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connectivity for the branch.
  • Monitor network performance and implement improvements as needed.

IT Policy Implementation:

  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with CBN guidelines on IT security and operation

Requirements:

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CCNA, ITIL, CompTIA, or MCP) are an added advantage.
  • Close proximity to Epe is required

Experience:

  • At least 3–4 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the banking or financial services sector

  • Hands-on experience with core banking systems, networks, and IT support.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
  • Proficiency in managing core banking applications and financial software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
