Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive End User Device (EUD) Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be the primary architect of our end-user technology environment, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining hardware and software standards for our entire workforce.

You will manage a diverse fleet including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals across Windows and macOS environments. This role is ideal for a specialist who thrives on enterprise automation, endpoint security, and optimizing the digital employee experience in a modern, hybrid work landscape.

Requirements:

Device Lifecycle & Endpoint Management

• Provisioning & Deployment: Manage the full lifecycle of devices from automated enrollment to decommissioning. You will develop "golden images" and deployment workflows for both Windows and macOS.

• Modern Management: Administer MDM platforms, specifically Microsoft Intune, to automate software deployment, patch management, and compliance enforcement.

• Asset Tracking: Maintain an accurate and real-time inventory of all company hardware and software assets.

Automation, Scripting & Integration

• Custom Automation: Develop and maintain robust scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline device setup, software installations, and system monitoring.

• Pipeline Integration: Where relevant, integrate device management with CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing environments.

Security & Compliance

• Security Baselines: Establish and enforce critical endpoint security controls, including disk encryption (BitLocker, FileVault), antivirus, EDR, and MFA.

• Vulnerability Management: Monitor for endpoint-related vulnerabilities and work with security teams to respond to incidents and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.

User Experience & Support

• Advanced Support: Act as the Tier 2 escalation point for complex device-related incidents and service requests.

• Proactive Optimization: Monitor device performance to address issues before they impact the user, ensuring a seamless digital experience for a hybrid workforce.

• Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with the Service Desk to document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and build a comprehensive knowledge base.

Software & Projects

• License Management: Manage core productivity licenses for tools like Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Zoom.

• Strategic Projects: Lead initiatives such as global device refreshes, remote work enablement, and onboarding automation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in end-user device engineering, endpoint management, or a specialized IT infrastructure role.

• Technical Expertise:

  • High proficiency with the Microsoft Intune MDM platform.

  • Expert knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS; familiarity with Linux administration is a plus.

  • Proven experience with scripting languages (PowerShell is essential; Bash or Python is highly preferred).

• Security Mindset: Familiarity with enterprise-grade security standards and endpoint protection tools.
