Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and forward-thinking IoT Engineer to design and scale the next generation of connected hardware. At the intersection of hardware and the cloud, you will be responsible for building the nervous system of our products—ensuring that every device, sensor, and system communicates securely and reliably.

As our IoT lead, you will manage the entire stack: from writing low-level firmware for microcontrollers to architecting data pipelines on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. We need an engineer who is as comfortable with a soldering iron as they are with a REST API. If you have a passion for sustainable technology and the technical grit to manage complex communication protocols like MQTT and LoRaWAN, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

1. Full-Stack IoT Architecture

• End-to-End Design: Architect the complete IoT flow, ensuring seamless connectivity from the device and gateway to the cloud and end-user application.

• Protocol Mastery: Implement and optimize communication protocols (MQTT, BLE, Zigbee, LoRaWAN) to ensure low-latency and power-efficient data transmission.

• Hardware Integration: Select and integrate MCUs (ESP32, STM32) and sensors to meet specific product requirements for monitoring and control.

2. Embedded Systems & Firmware Development

• Firmware Engineering: Write and maintain robust, high-performance firmware in C/C++ or Python, utilizing RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr) where necessary.

• Security & Resilience: Implement "Security by Design," including device authentication, end-to-end encryption, and reliable Over-the-Air (OTA) update mechanisms.

• Edge Intelligence: Deploy edge computing solutions to process data locally, reducing cloud latency and optimizing bandwidth.

3. Cloud Integration & Data Intelligence

• Cloud Orchestration: Connect and manage device fleets using AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT.

• Data Pipelines: Build and monitor data streams to collect device telemetries, enabling real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance insights.

• System Observability: Troubleshoot complex network and hardware issues using system logs, dashboards, and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.

• Embedded Expertise: Proven experience with microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and Linux-based systems.

• Programming: High proficiency in C/C++ and Python.

• Networking IQ: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, cellular, and LPWAN technologies.

Preferred Competencies

• Cloud & DevOps: Experience with REST APIs, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Advanced Systems: Familiarity with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or AI/ML at the edge.

• Industry Experience: Prior exposure to Industrial IoT (IIoT), smart energy, or cooling solutions is highly valued.
