Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Inventory Officer to manage the lifecycle of our stock at our Effurun (Jakpa Road) facility. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our physical assets, ensuring that every item—from raw materials to finished goods—is accounted for, stored safely, and moved efficiently.

The ideal candidate is someone who finds satisfaction in precision. You will balance the physical demands of warehouse oversight with the analytical rigor of digital record-keeping. Your work will directly prevent stockouts, minimize waste, and ensure our operations remain profitable and responsive to customer demand.

Requirements:

1. Stock Governance & Accuracy

• Inventory Tracking: Maintain real-time records of all incoming and outgoing stock using inventory management software or structured ledgers.

• Physical Verification: Conduct regular cycle counts and full periodic audits to ensure physical stock perfectly matches digital records.

• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and report any variances in stock levels, identifying root causes such as damage, theft, or administrative errors.

2. Warehouse Operations & Safety

• Storage Optimization: Organize the warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and ensure fast, logical access to high-turnover items.

• Quality Preservation: Monitor storage conditions (temperature, stacking heights, etc.) to prevent damage or deterioration of goods.

• Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment, adhering to standard health and safety protocols for manual handling and storage.

3. Procurement & Supply Coordination

• Reorder Management: Monitor stock levels against established minimums and trigger reorder requests to the procurement team to prevent stockouts.

• Receiving & Inspection: Supervise the offloading of new supplies, verifying quantities against Waybills/Invoices and inspecting goods for quality before acceptance.

• Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with delivery drivers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and accurate documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory role is highly preferred.

• Technical IQ: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; experience with inventory software (e.g., Odoo, Tally, or QuickBooks) is a plus.
