Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Audit Specialist to join our team in Warri. In this role, you will be a key player in safeguarding the organization’s integrity by conducting comprehensive audits across financial and operational departments. Your mission is to identify risks, evaluate internal controls, and ensure that our business processes remain fully compliant with both internal policies and national regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive Auditing: Execute financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments to ensure transparency and efficiency.

  • Risk Assessment: Review internal controls to pinpoint process gaps, potential risks, and areas for improvement.

  • Reporting & Strategy: Prepare detailed audit reports featuring clear findings and practical, actionable recommendations for management.

  • Follow-up & Monitoring: Track and monitor the implementation of corrective actions to ensure identified issues are resolved.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization strictly adheres to internal policies, industry-specific regulations, and statutory requirements.

  • Fraud Prevention: Assist in fraud risk assessments and conduct investigations as necessary to protect company assets.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 4–5 years of proven experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance roles.

  • Certification: Must hold a recognized professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or a verified equivalent.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern audit documentation standards.

  • Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with a knack for identifying patterns and reporting complex data clearly.
