Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Audit Officer to join our team in Lagos for a 6-month contract. You will be the cornerstone of our risk management efforts, ensuring that our business and financial processes are robust, compliant, and optimized. If you have a solid background in internal auditing, strong accounting skills, and a talent for identifying systemic risks, this role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on our operational integrity.

Requirements:

• Risk Management: Identify and assess significant business risks, implementing effective controls to mitigate financial and operational vulnerabilities.

• Audit Planning & Execution: Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan and oversee all planned annual audit assignments.

• Policy Development: Establish and maintain internal audit policies and procedures that align with both local and international best practices.

• Operational Oversight: Conduct risk-based audits across all financial and operational processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

• Ad Hoc Investigations: Lead special investigations into reported risks or identified irregularities as they arise.

• Reporting: Ensure that all audit findings are compiled into accurate, timely, and actionable reports for Management and Risk Committees.

• Resource Management: Manage audit assignments and resources to ensure all project goals are met within the contract period.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Degree in Internal Auditing, Financial Accounting, or Financial Management (Essential).

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience within an internal audit environment.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong accounting skills.

  • Excellent documentation and IT proficiency.
