Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite HSE Officer to anchor the safety engine of our oil and gas operations. In the mission-critical world of energy production, success is defined by "Operational Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-risk workplace activities with the clinical precision required for NEBOSH-Standard Risk Assessments, Safety Audits, and Incident Investigations. This role is designed for a "Safety Architect" with 3–5 years of experience who can blend "Field Grit" (conducting inspections and emergency drills) with the "Strategic Agility" required to promote a robust culture of environmental responsibility.
Requirements:
1. Safety Orchestration & Compliance Governance
Regulatory Sovereignty: Ensure 100% compliance with local, national, and industry safety standards, acting as the primary "Source of Legal and Ethical Adherence."
Audit Architecture: Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments with millimetric focus, providing the "Structural Foundation" for hazard identification.
Policy Stewardship: Develop, implement, and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring the "Source of Workplace Safety" is elite and unwavering.
2. Tactical Resilience & Emergency Logic
Response Sovereignty: Organize and conduct emergency preparedness drills, acting as the primary "Source of Incident Readiness."
Investigation Architecture: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to prepare detailed reports, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for corrective recommendations.
Equipment Stewardship: Monitor the proper use and functionality of safety equipment, maintaining the "Source of Physical Protection" for all employees.
3. Cultural Integrity & Performance Power
Culture Sovereignty: Promote a strong organization-wide culture of safety and environmental responsibility, acting as the primary "Source of Behavioral Change."
Training Architecture: Organize and conduct safety awareness programs, providing the "Visual Foundation" for a highly informed and cautious workforce.
Collaboration Logic: Work closely with management to continuously improve safety procedures, utilizing 3–5 years of oil and gas expertise to maximize the "Source of Operational Velocity."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer, preferably within oil and gas operations.
Certifications: Must possess recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA.
Core Competencies
Technical Grit: Strong knowledge of national health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Operational Sovereignty: Ability to conduct high-level safety training and complex risk assessments.
Analytical Power: Proficiency in Microsoft Office for detailed report preparation and record-keeping.
